Here is a list by city of current water restrictions around DFW.
While we try to have information that is as current as possible, please do check the city links provided for the most updated infromation
City Of Arlington:
Year-round requirements remain in effect.
- Watering with a soaker hose, drip irrigation or by hand-held hose is allowed at any time.
- No watering with irrigation systems or sprinklers between 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.;
- No watering hard surfaces;
- No watering during precipitation; and
- No water waste through runoff, missing, misaligned or broken sprinkler heads.
City Of Bedford:
Watering between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day with a hose end or automatic irrigation systems is prohibited because this requirement is part of the water conservation ordinance. Watering with a soaker hose or by hand between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. is permitted. Other conservation measures that remain in effect are prohibitions on the wasting of water by watering hard surfaces or allowing runoff down the street.
Residents and businesses are urged to be efficient with their outdoor watering and are reminded drought restrictions will return when lake levels reach 75 percent. The use of drip irrigation, soaker hoses and hand watering are the most efficient methods of watering.
City Of Colleyville:

- Monday – no watering allowed
- Tuesday/Friday – Commercial sites (apartments, businesses, parks)
- Wednesday/Saturday – Residential addresses ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, 8
- Thursday/Sunday – Residential addresses ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
City Of Dallas:
City of Dallas Maximum twice per week watering schedule:
- Sundays and Thursdays: Addresses ending in Even Numbers
- Saturdays and Wednesdays: Addresses ending in Odd Numbers
- Sundays and Thursdays: Addresses with No Number
City Of Grand Prairie:
The following restrictions are in effect in the city of Grand Prairie:
- No watering on Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday.
- Even Numbered addresses may water on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Odd numbered addresses may water on Tuesday and Fridays.
- Handheld and soaker hoses are allowed to be used any time.
City of Fort Worth
- · Mondays – No watering with sprinklers or irrigation systems allowed;
- · Tuesdays & Fridays – Apartment complexes, businesses, industries, parks, medians, etc. may water;
- · Wednesdays & Saturdays – Residential addresses ending in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) may water;
- · Thursdays & Sundays – Residential addresses ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) may water.
City Of Haltom City
STAGE 1 WATERING RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT
Under Stage 1 restrictions households and businesses are limited in sprinkler watering to two days per week with the two days determined by the address of the location. Violations are handled by Code Enforcement, 817-222-7732.
- Residential addresses ending in an even number may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays
- Residential addresses ending in an odd number may water on Thursdays and Sundays
- All non-residential locations, such as apartment complexes, businesses, industries, parks, medians, etc. may water on Tuesdays and Fridays
- No watering, regardless of address, may take place between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day
City Of Mansfield
As of May 18, 2015, Stage 1 drought restrictions are lifted. No assigned days but no watering between 10 am – 6 pm is still in place.
City of North Richland Hills
